Visualisation at The Royal Opera House
Visualisation is a key technology at The Royal Opera House, used to provide a virtual venue where all technical elements, especially lighting, can be prepared in advance of getting on stage for the first time. James Simpson will talk about some of the latest projects from The ROH, how it is achieved technically and a brief look into the future of visualisation technology. James will also be talking for the first time about an exciting new R&D project being developed at the ROH. It uses AR technology with the Microsoft Hololens to create new experiences for design teams to help them visualise their ideas and will be demonstrating the technology live.
